Abstract
:
In this paper, ontology based software automated system for project cost estimation is proposed. The system uses the ONTOCOM cost estimation model. The system is implemented using Microsoft visual studio ASP.Net C#. It is cost effective and can run easily on Personal Computers. The system has user’s friendly interfaces, where project designers can access it through helpful labeled screens and menus. Project estimated size and effort results are obtained in the form of graphical charts. The system is tested successfully using several previously data projects. The system provides several benefits to software vendors, among these are: speed, accuracy and adaptability, since it can be reprogrammed easily to do need tasks.
